• COMMUNITY:

  • Community support groups and one-on-one peer buddy programs. Building SYNAP-tic connections amongst individuals of the ABI community,

• ADVOCACY:

  • Publicity about group mission through social media activity.

  • Collaborations and relationship-building with medical professionals in the Weill Cornell, New York Presbyterian, Mount Sinai and Rusk Rehabilitation network for delivery of guest lectures and presentations.

  • Alignment with intersectional social justice causes to build tertiary space for policy debate and mobilizing of skilled resources.

• NEUROSCIENCE

  • Presentations by researchers and public health professionals in robust Columbia graduate school network from Columbia University Medical Center, Mailman School of Public Health, teachers’ College and School of Social Work.

  • Annual research panel ‘Landscape of TBI Research’ hosted in November.

  • Annual New York City conference organized during Brain Injury Awareness Month in March.
